Kenneth Schop has been a professional illustrator and designer for the past 30 years specializing in newspaper and magazine publishing. Working in genres from Automotive to Political.
For the last four years, he’s been focused on advertising work for several southeast Michigan lifestyle magazines as well as being an Art Director for a local newspaper. In 2014, he ended a successful seven-year run as the weekly editorial cartoonist for “The Grosse Pointe News.”
Kenneth enjoys doing commisioned art of popular cartoon characters as well as dinosaurs, fantasy and “Universal Monsters.”
Ken has also been teaching what he knows about cartooning and how the four color process works for print publication to children grades 4th - 6th. For over thirteen years, he has taught and spoke at local elementary schools, local outreach events, as well as at a christian summer camp.
He is married with three children and lives in a suburb of Detroit, MI.
